Q:
Is the National Med Network buying experience limited to ambulatory clinics?
A:
No, we are working with occ med, surgi-centers, ortho groups, and immediate care centers.
 
Q:
What are the qualifications of the network's business partners?
A:
All of our vendors are pre-screened for quality and customer service assurances.
 
Q:
How much can my organization expect to save?
A:
Depending on the type of practice and volume of supplies, program savings average 15-20% or more.
 
Q:
How can I determine what the savings will be?
A:
A no-cost savings analysis will be conducted for your business
 
Q:
What is the sign-up process if I am interested?
A:
Go to the Web site at www.nationalmednetwork.com and fill out the application. You will then be notified when your application has been processed and contacted by vendors so you can start saving from that point.
 
Q:
Am I obligated to purchase only from National Med Network vendors?
A:
As a committment we ask that clinics purchase 90% of supplies from the network. Volume purchases will allow for even greater savings in the future.
 
Q:
What if I am already using a National Med Network supplier?
A:
After your application has been processed, we will notify the vendor of your participation and the entitled discount pricing will be put in effect.
 
Q:
How do I place my order for supplies?
A:
You order online or phone the manufacturer or distributor of the product directly.
 
Q:
Is changing from my current supplier difficult?
A:
No, the process is quick and easy and the savings attained will be worth the time.
   

MEDICAL SUPPLIES

Q:
Can I order supplies that are not listed on the shopping list?
A:
Yes! We have access to nearly every popular item and manufacturer of medical supplies. The shopping list is but a brief sample of all the supplies available to National Med Network members.
 
Q:
How can I find out the National Med Network price for an item that isn't listed on the shopping list?
A:
Using the Web-based ordering system, you can easily conduct a product or item search, which will return the established cost. If you need assistance with finding a particular item, simply contact Patrice Pash, R.N., B.S.N., Senior Consultant, or Rebekah Hattoon, Sales Representative.
 
Q:
Do I have to order a minimum dollar amount?
A:
No. Unlike the giant hospital suppliers, we will readily fill your placed order, whether for one item or a thousand; a box, or a case. The quantity is up to you.
 
Q:
How fast can I expect to receive any order I place?
A:
Members can expect their order via UPS ground in 2–3 business days.
 
Q:
Can I return supplies?
A:
Yes. Simply contact us to arrange return of the item and credit to your account. Keep your order copy and packing slip available for reference.
   

DRUG TESTING

Q:
Is this vendor SAMSHA certified?
A:
Yes, Medtox is SAMSHA certified.
 
Q:
Am I able to order DOT-regulated and non-DOT-regulated drug screens?
A:
Yes, Medtox is qualified to complete both types of tests and will provide Custody and Control Forms for your facility. They are capable of doing a variety of tests including the typical 5 panel, 7 panel, and 10 panel drug screens, and offer a variety of validity testing.
 
Q:
How do I determine the cost of drug screens for my facility?
A:
Access the drug testing page and use the calculator to determine the cost of drug screens for your clinic(s).
 
Q:
Can I get a fixed cost for drug screens?
A:
Yes, you can get a fluctuating rate which is determined on density and positivity, or you can choose to have a fixed rate for the drug screens that you submit.
 
Q:
How do I send my specimens to Medtox?
A:
In some larger cities there may be a courier available. Most specimens will be sent to the laboratory through Airborne. Medtox will provide the airbills and the bags to send the packed specimens to them.
 
Q:
When can I expect results?
A:
Most specimens will be reported the same or next business day.
 
Q:
Who do I call if I have problems or need to check on the status of a specimen?

Will I be able to obtain drug screen results online?
A:
Yes, Medtox is developing a program where results can be obtained online through a password protected program.
   

PRE-PACKAGED PHARMACEUTICALS

Q:
Can I order medications not listed on the shopping list?
A:
Yes, Doctors' Dispensing Network (DRx) has over 25,000 different medications available. The shopping list is but a brief sample of all the medications, both brand name and generic, available to National Med Network members.
 
Q:
Can I order medications in quantities other than those listed on the shopping list?
A:
Yes, DRx is able to prepackage medication in standard treatment quantities or specific to your practice’s needs.
 
Q:
Can I order controlled substances?
A:
Yes, Any schedule III or higher medications can be easily ordered with a valid DEA and operations license from the physician. Schedule I and II medication are currently not available from DRx.
 
Q:
How fast can I expect to receive any order I place?
A:
Orders received during the business day prior to 2 pm will be received in 1–2 business days via UPS 2nd Day Air delivery.
 
Q:
Can I return medication?
A:
Generally, all sales are considered final. However, if an error is made by DRx in the packing of your order, they will gladly welcome the return of the incorrect, unopened medication upon notification.
 
Q:
Do you have an inventory management system?
A:
Yes! DRx offers inventory management software that will track dispensing, print labels and patient medication information sheets, as well as track usage and generates orders based on the minimums and maximums you set for your facility.
